My WhatsApp updated and every unread chat changed from blue to green. I can’t help being one track minded and thinking they changed from Israel to Palestine.
Is this a coincidence? WhatsApp is around for years and has never changed its colors.
Help !

Probably has to do with keeping the color scheme. Whatsapp is green not blue.

From the perspective of a software developer in a similar company, I can say that a change like this would easily be months in the making, if not more. It's not a quick thing that would get done as a reaction to anything. There's a lot of decisions and testing and sign-offs involved, until an update like this goes through.
WhatsApp's official coloring was always green, and always green on android. They most likely made the decision to standardize a while back, and finally got it done now.

That’s what it says online. Kinda makes sense but still bothers me. Oh well I hate all updates. Until I get used to it. And by then there’s another update
