I have naturally thick dark brown hair. My DH wants to know what I would look like blond. I've tried to find dyes that would only last for a few days, and wash out, but they all seem either super cheap/chalky costume dye, or will last several weeks, minimum. I also don't want something that the edges of my hair that sticks out of a tickel would be noticable to anyone else.
Does anyone have any ideas?

it's basically impossible to go light without bleaching or using cheap spray/chalky dyes.
what about a cheap synthetic wig in the right shade to start?
