I'm going insane. My 7 month old has been crying hysterically on and off for the past two days. Only wants to be held and starts screaming the minute I put her down. I can barely put her to sleep. She was up every 2-3 hours last night. Her two bottom front teeth are poking through, so I hope it's that.
I've been so stressed because I work from home and can't get a single thing done, let alone cook for Shabbos and feel so bad because she's clearly in pain and there's nothing that can comfort her. Last night she started screaming every time I tried to put her down in the crib so we ended up cosleeping.
Please tell me this is normal? I'm at my wit's end. I feel stupid going to the doctor because they'll probably just laugh at me.

Yes, new teeth will do this. Is she drooling a lot and biting everything? If so, I would assume it’s teeth. I have a baby wrap for those days, and those nights are cosleeping nights.

No drooling but lots of sucking her lips and trying to shove everything in her mouth

Go with your intuition. It’s likely teething. If there are no signs of illness, I wouldn’t worry. Do minimal meals etc until it passes.

If you suspect teething just give tylenol
Poor baby is in pain
Even in the middle of the night, give tylenol and cosleep if you want any sleep

2 days of not letting you put her down? I would bring to the Dr to rule out ear infection or any other illness. It’s your responsibility as her mother…

I gave her Tylenol yesterday afternoon and she was better for a couple hours but woke up crying at 10 PM and didn't have a great night.
I'm wary of giving it too often since this this my first so I don't know how long this whole thing will last.
How long and often is it safe to give Tylenol?
BH so far she seems better today.

Motrin is better for teething. Discuss alternating with your pediatrician

I would certainly get ears checked out. You could have ear infections without a fever. I think waking up from the pain is beyond normal teething. In fact, I couldn't ever really decipher when my kids were teething.
