Hot air poppers are inexpensive and are more foolproof.
You can buy flavored seasoning salt or do your own with spices.
I have one that produces really good popcorn because it uses a bit of oil and has an arm that keeps the popcorn moving.

I actually keep CY so most of these I can't use!
I have been successful with:
the veggie straws from costco when they go on sale
Utz brand potato chips many different flavors
Deep river potato chips a few flavors (only the 1 oz size) when they go down on amazon
Frito lays snack boxes (lays chips, tortilla chips, rold gold pretzels etc.)
Pringles .67oz size when in stock on amazon
Skinny pop popcorn - once in a while goes on sale on amazon
individual mini cereal bags like this and this

There’s no hechsher on the box itself for some reason but every single bag in there has a hechsher. It’s 35 cents a snack bag!
