I never make the charoset myself. I remember when I was little, all of us standing and watching while my father ceremonially made the charoset, occasionally receiving the privilege of being requested to pass him an apple. It was one of the big erev Pesach moments, building up anticipation for the Seder.

Now he continues that tradition with the next generation. I'd feel quite lost if I had to make the charoset myself.

I make it erev Pesach. Takes about five-ten minutes, if that.

I haven’t started cooking yet, but I like to do it first thing, because somehow it gets me in the pesach mood. Hopefully it’ll motivate me to cook more because I’m in Israel right now. I’m just sitting here drinking a coffee. I know I saw a lot of shopping to do so hope I can get a little cooking before I go and then take a little break. I’ve had a really hectic month with my dad breaking his knee so I really am way behind usually have done pick shops already, but hopefully I have enough to at least make a couple things.

Mine doesn't seem to improve with age. So I make it Erev Yom Tov.

In my home my DH preps all the food for the ke’arah. He holds it needs to be prepared on Erev Yom Tov. So that’s why I wait until Monday
