So we’d like to go to DC with the kids, using the Amtrak train back and forth.
Anyone been there with kids ages 2-12? Which hotel should we stay at? And anything fun to do there/go to?

Yes it was awesome!
Smithsonian zoo
Boat ride around Potomac River
Tour of White House or capitol (we went in the summer. Now post October 7 not sure what’s going on or whether I’d want to go)
I heard spy museum is good

Spy museum is very good and interesting. Also the air and space is museum is very nice. Can also drive around to see the capital, and White House. There is also Lincoln memorial, and Washington monument on the national mall. Well worth the trip. We did it a few summers ago.

So check out the site Amtrak. There are different options coach business and first etc.
Anyone else did the Amtrak?

I did it once myself from Philadelphia and it was great , easy
