You don't want to be completely on empty. What if there is an emergency repair? Or even if the toilet gets clogged and you need a plumber? You need a small cushion when you own a house.

Prices will only go up so the amount you save won’t matter as much. You can refinance and try to increase your income. Most people I know that bought a house jumped in a bit
