How much raise can a employee expect to ask for?
Does it make a difference how much they earn now?
How long one worked?

Depends how long you’re working there, when you were raised last, how you feel you performance is. I think you can ask for a 10-15% raise per year if you feel your performance is great. 20% if you took more responsibilities etc.

Depends on the industry standards. Typical is probably 2-5% a year in many fields I have worked.

10-15% is nowhere near the norm imo. You work for an unusually generous boss if you think this.

Standard is 2-5%. Outstanding is 5-10%.

10-15% is a huge amount if you aren’t taking on more responsibilities.

I’m talking about a one girl office with a few employees overseas to manage. I typically get a 15% raise every 2 years. No raise after baby or any family change.

You have a very generous boss, that’s not typical
