Anyone else like me.
Difficult kids who dont always help, dont always listen.
Marriage thats not always a perfect partnership.
I come on threads here for the friendship, the advice.
I feel so lectured.
Yes, in an ideal world, my husband and kids will all chip in so its not too overwhelming.
Yes in an ideal world I can take off a few days.
Yes in an ideal world, there would be lots of takeout, lots of cleaning help.
Yes in an ideal world, my kids dont eat in their rooms, or sit at the table, or eat whatever shortcuts I serve.

But dont live in that ideal world. I live with uncooperative kids, kids with special needs, limited funds, a husband who works many hours plus medical issues, picky eaters, allergies, defiance.
Please just support us and dont lecture us.

Even if you know how we should do things better.

I hear you and no lecturing from me.

Sometimes it feels that some of the imas here live in a utopian parallel universe where everyone has the best middos, all families and wider society in general function in perfect, stress free harmony with no judgement or peer pressure and with everyone constantly looking out for each other.

The rest of us live in the real world.

You can only control you. Personally I relaxed my standards, do the best I can, and that's it. If someone helps I am grateful and don't criticize even if they don't do a great job. And I go easy on myself that everything doesn't have to be perfect. It's liberating.
