Also for some kids the trigger is home and school is the safe space. One of my kids was like this. School was great but home with a sibling that pushed his buttons set off all kinds of negative behavior.

Also true. I know my dd thrives on the structure of school but the lack of schedule at home really triggers her.

One of mine was like that.
Long school day. Minor irritations building like a pressure cooker. Small things like not being called on for an answer or not liking lunch.
By the time they came home, they had a full days minor irritations at boiling point, plus hungry and tired and irritable and hot.
Something small happened at home like a broken cookie and bam it all exploded.
