People use the words "pot stirrer" or "sh*tstirrer" but it doesn't have the same ring to it.

I dont think anyone said this yet- farshlept (and farshlepta krenk)
I once wanted to call a non-jewish office and ask them why they were being so farshlept?! I was so frustrated, couldn't think of the right word to express it.

Farkruchen. Literally means like climbed too far out, that when you are on a hike but also like diverted like somewhere so farfetched.

(This includes Hebrew words that have become yiddish, like mamash, pashut etc)
For example, nebach.
"Oy, nebach for the family" - I guess you'd translate as shame.
"She's a real nebach" - she's a real.....shame?
What's the English word for shlemazzel?
Or chashuv. You'd say important, but not really. Because you'd say "It's important to put on sunscreen when it's hot" but you wouldn't say it's chashuv to. You'd say, "it's really important that you're home on time to watch the kids so I can leave on time" but again, you can't use chashuv there..... |
Important is vichtig
It’s important you be home on time so I don’t have a nervous break down from the kids kvetching (because miraculously they’re all angels the second you turn the handle…)
The question you have is reverse- how to you say chashuv in English, which like someone said above can be esteemed. An esteemed rabbi, a chashuvia rabbi. (Or he can just be a vichtig macher )

Tzigeluzen would be more like soft natured, maybe accommodating, sensitive to others needs, easy to work with, calm and pleasant to work with?

Krechtzen, ziftsen.
Sigh is not strong enough. Ziftsen is more like sighing plus crying, sobbing, like start and stop like kids who do it and can't get to themselves.

You could also say to besmirch someone's name. Smirch means to dirty, soil.

There are plenty of words that you can technically translate, but the translations are just not with the same oomph.
