I just wanted to let you know about an activity option that really worked for our family on our recent vacation. If you are a family of boys who are trying to find somewhat reasonably priced activities that are specifically not beach or watersport based, this may be what you're looking for (or you could be a family of athletic girls who like gymnastics, but girls aren't as limited in Florida as boys could be)...

Miami Flying Trapeze offers trapeze lessons for $35 per person (if you take the class option, not if you privately rent it out) and we found that when you click on the eye icon next to the class, you can see exactly how many people are already signed up and if you click on registrants, you can see who they are. So we chose a class that had nobody else signed up for it and had a wonderful time! The listed length of class is an hour, but you will likely not stay that long (depending on how many kids you sign up), because their hands get sore from the bars after a few times (unless they already have callused hands).

The only caveat is if you have a cat allergy or fear of cats. The owners own multiple cats. They won't really go near you, but they are wandering around.

The setting is GORGEOUS! You feel like you're in a tropical oasis, but it's super close to North Miami Beach:
