That’s so normal. Home, the place you live in, the streets you walk every day, always seem safest. Israel is your home. Of course you feel safest there. A child moving to a new country will feel anxious and unsafe. Not to mention that OP’s child is moving to a new country that’s actually at war right now and just experienced the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust. Saying you feel safer there than in the UK doesn’t help op’s son.
Op it’s okay to let your son talk about his fears. You can reassure him that you and his father will look out for him and are confident you’ll all love it there. The nice thing about being seven years old is that once you get there he’ll probably get used to the move sooner than you.
