If I enjoy art, what's type of work options are out there?
I thought of the following; any other ideas?
- book illustrator
- selling custom art
What else?
Any recommendations for online arrt classes? I used to paint beautifully, but it's been about 10 years since I lasted painted. I would definitely need to brush up on my skills again.
Specifically recommendations for figure/ face drawing. I never mastered this skill well.
Thank you.

Book Illustration is very very hard to get into.
I think your best bet to turn art into a career is to offer art classes for kids. There is usually a demand for this in most communities.
You can also learn graphic design, but that's not as artistic as real art.
ETA: There are lots of frum artists who offer online classes if you're interested in upping your skills. Dena Ackerman, Ruchie Berlinger, Design Alive, to name a few.
Another career idea I don't know much about is becoming an Art Therapist. Also, some nursing homes hire artist to do very open-ended art sessions with their residents.
Hatzlacha!

Art classes for kids/adults
You can also consider doing art evenings /nights for teens or adults. More like workshops Where you can teach a specific art/craft. Like:
- quilling
- mosaic
-decoupage
- pouring art
Or a technique like:
- blending
- shading
Do you have a garage or storage room that you can convert into a studio?
There's so much you can offer!
I am in the industry so if you have any question feel free to ask
