School and therapist

Can a school force parent to give them access to their child's (non-school) therapist?
Is this legal?

They can do whatever they want. You have every right to refuse to give consent, but they have every right not to keep your child in the school if you don't do what they ask

No. You would need to sign a consent form. But then can make your life a living hell of you don’t agree

They can't legally force you to do anything. But they can kick you out if you don't along with them. Can you have the therapist go down and speak to them instead? Tell the therapist which info you allow them to have and which cannot be shared.

Or make it a meeting between you, the therapist and the school, telling the therapist before what information they could disclose.
It's very frustrating for a school to be dealing with a situation and they have no guidance and no way to share their side with the therapist. Just saying.
If there is a home situation and they are just "yentish", you being there can help with that too.
