I've always wished sleep were healthy, but optional. Meaning, if you missed a few nights of sleep, ok it's not the best, but you could go on functioning. Sort of like exercise or eating healthy. Sure, ideally it should be something you're doing all the time, but if you have a couple of months where you don't get around to exercising or you eat less vegetables than you should be, you don't crash.
I wouldn't mind sleep being optional for like a month or so before Pesach.
