My five year old son recently started wetting his pants every time he laughs. It seems he can’t control it. I googled it and apparently it’s a real condition!
Has anyone had this with their child that can offer some advice please

yes. and make sure they check to make sure he's breathing properly. took my daughter for pelvic floor pt for a loooong time, specialist in kids and she still had issues. took her elsewhere and the lady said she wasn't breathing properly.

He also had giggle incontinence? How long did you take him to therapy?

Start with your pediatrician.

They will probably recommend seeing a pediatric urologist.

From there, ask about pelvic floor therapy.

I dealt with this with my daughter.

Thank you. What help did you get for your daughter and did it work?

We didn't end up doing any pelvic floor therapy. We focused on her using the bathroom very regularly (like every 2 hrs), increasing fruits and vegetables and water in her diet to avoid constipation. The dr also checked for UTIs and did a bladder ultrasound to make sure everything looked normal there. Which it did BH. I think time/growing up/maturity helped too.
