The way the temperature keeps going up every time I check, we will probably have the ac on low.

Yes with the oven and stove on it will be even hotter inside. Keeping it on 74 so if it hits that inside it will go on

I'm not in NY but we just have a thermostat set so if's hot, the ac turns on and if it's cold the heat turns on.. I don't think weve ever shut it off entirely.

Yes on 74 it turns off when it reaches that temp and only turns back on if house goes to 75.
Otherwise if window unit I would do energy saver.

Op, what city are you in that you are thinking about AC?

My weather app says 70 on shabbos and cooler on Sunday. Early Sunday morning it says 42 degrees. This is near Brooklyn.

Brooklyn has 70 tomorrow and 63 Sunday, and it keeps getting hotter.

I keep it set at 72 or 70 depending on how hot I feel and let it do its thing.

Same thing as if you set a thermostat for heat as it goes on and off in response to room temperature.

On these in between type weather days, we always leave the central air on 70 so if it gets unexpectedly warm, it will turn on and if it’s cool it stays off…

You’re not hot at 74-75? That would never fly here… we all can’t handle the heat.
