I am from and live in Israel. Never been to america. I was just wondering, is lakewood only kollel/yeshivish (or whatever it is called) jews or are there non jews that live there as well? And secular jews? They say curiosity killed the cat.

Of course there are non-jews in Lakewood. I'm sure there are secular Jews living around the greater "Lakewood" area. What we call colloquially "Lakewood" actually encompasses a number of townships, some still with quite a large non-jewish population.
Lakewood has all kinds of Jews, not just yeshivish. Plenty of chassidim and plenty of black hat people who aren't learning on kollel.

There is a public school in the Lakewood area but it's somewhat small.
There are definitely a variety of types in Lakewood. There are even Modern and JPF people- But it's mostly Yeshivish people.
If a VERY modern family was looking to move- Lakewood would probably not be their first choice. Since has more Yeshivish than not
