I think its that pastrami that comes in a sealed strong plastic bag- I just dump it (still sealed) into my cholent.
Fish it out, open it, and serve it alongside the cholent.
Highlight of our seudah- so yum!!

The plastic doesn’t melt??
Do you mean you take off the outer plastic and leave the inner one?

What's the halacha about this, if it's fully submerged? Do you want it to absorb the taste of the cholent?

just realized I didn't respond to you... no, the plastic is designed for it (like sous vide)
I take off the outer plastic - like with the store's lablel, and the meat is in a vaccuum packed bag- I put that into the cholent.

Ask your LOR, but I believe it's ok to have it fully submerged if you DON'T want the cholent and pastrami to flavor each other (I wouldn't want them to)

Thank you! So if it’s still sealed I’m assuming it doesn’t flavor the Chulent. Is that right?
