I have a cold and I'm feeling icky. Stuffy sore throat the whole nine yards.
Any suggestions for making it through the fast while sick? I'll be home alone with two toddlers

Refuah shleima! Drink as much fluid as you can today. Put on humidifiers if you have them. Maybe buy and take a 24 hour Tylenol pill.
And don't rule out the option of getting help! When my kids were little, I hired a non Jewish college student as a babysitter, so I could go to shul, or even get a little nap. Back in the day, I'd put the money in an envelope before YK, and leave it in a place for her to grab on her way out. These days, it's probably an option to pay electronically after havdala.
Today might be a little late to start the process, but it's not impossible.
