Dd a small 12 year old felt awful 3-4 hours before the end of tishah b’av. By the time the fast was over she just drank a little Powerade and went to sleep. She was feeling so awful she couldn’t eat anything.
I never had that with any other kids or myself or dh. So how would I prevent that/help her for Yom Kippur? Any ideas welcome!!

This is normal to me unfortunately. I try to hydrate as much as possible in the 5 days before the fast.

Kollel pills
But I don’t know if I’d give it to a 12 yr old.

She unfortunately doesn’t swallow pills yet so it’s not even an option .

Also my husband remembers a friend of his in Israel being told to eat grape sugar before the fast. I just never heard of it if anyone knows anything about it and if it works?
And where I can find something like that in Brooklyn?
