Is there any way to make them taste good
Looking for a flavorful recipe where the mushrooms don’t taste rubbery and don’t have a can taste

I fry them. I first fry onions, then I add the mushrooms. They don't taste as good as fresh, but I find the frying gives them more flavor.

I put them in our- orzo, rice recipes, stuffed chicken recipes, pizza.
I put them in my rice once and one of my kids said this meat is delicious ma. I told him it’s actually mushrooms. He couldn’t believe it.
They say it does have a meaty flavor- it really does

Mushroom Dip
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 onions, diced
1 tsp salt
20–24 oz (570–680 g) fresh mushrooms, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
Sauté onions in oil. Add mushrooms and all other ingredients except the mayonnaise. Cook for 30 minutes. Cool and add mayonnaise.

Mushroom Kugel
16 oz. medium egg noodles
¼-½ c. margarine
2 cans mushrooms
1 c. non-dairy milk or parve creamer
1 package (or more—I sometimes use closer to 2) onion soup mix
3-5 eggs

Cook noodles. Mix in margarine. Mix in everything else. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes covered and then 20 minutes uncovered.
