can you help me out? mine never comes out good. I decided to stop buying it but dh bought it because he didnt know better.
I would like to make it in the crockpot so it has the best chance of coming out soft, but open to all tips, ideas and recipes/.

Just made this recipe-
Layer sliced onions and red/green bell peppers on the bottom of the pot. Add meat. Sprikle with pepper, onion/garlic, Italian seasoning, oregano (or whatever herbs you like)
Add a can or 2 of tomato sauce, plenty of red wine till covered. Bring just to a boil then simmer for 3-4 hours
