Family Reunion is coming up and Im in charge of Friday Lunch.

The only idea I can come up with is rolls, tuna, vegetables. However, that idea food will also be Friday breakfast and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

Any other ideas?

I'm really heartened by these responses. You don't want to starve your guests but you also don't want to upstage Shabbos, which I've sometimes seen.

Thank you for all replies!

Great ideas!

I dont want to do toameu-kugel etc. as that will be served close to Shabbos. This is for 12:00 pm lunch.

The falafel, or taco bar sounds amazing, but too much work cutting and assembling all vegetables.

I think I will go with baked ziti and french fries for the kids and a salad for the adults. I will need a protien for the adults-thinking of sushi (worried about cost).

Any other ideas for the adults?

If the ziti has cheese in it, that is protein. Maybe have hard-boiled eggs or yogurts available also.

Some other ideas are:

Bagels with cream cheese and lox
Chickpea salad
Egg salad
Pasta salad with canned salmon and/or tuna for protein
Veggie platter with hummus (chickpeas have protein)
