Which leaves less scarring? My child got a cut on his forehead and I’m wondering the best way to treat it.
Thank you

It depends more on the skills of the doctor, then what is used to close the cut. We go to a plastic surgeon rather than a regular doctor.
And it's also very important to apply anti scar cream from right away.

Which way is the cut? If it’s vertical definitely stitches.
I would do stitches if if it’s in a highly visible place on the forehead.
Make sure it doesn’t go in the sun

Yes it’s vertical and apparently he isn’t a candidate for glue in the end. Trying to find a plastic surgeon. Thank you all!
I ordered scar cream and will keep him out of the sun- for how long?

Stitches if done well causes less scarring.

My son once got a cut on his forehead. At first it was glued. After a few weeks of it not healing we were advised to stitch it up. BH the plastic surgeon we used did a great job. It’s been a few years and no scarring.

Use sunscreen!! Every day even in the winter, especially in LA, for at least 6-12 months.

We covered with a bandaid or used sunblock for the first year. Apply with the back of a spoon on Shabbos.
