Well, my husband and 12 year old son went up north this morning already. They spent the day in Tsfat and Amuka. Now they are at the Lelov Rebbe's bonfire in Tsfat and soon they are going to Meron.
What a zchus to be able to do this on Lag Baomer.
My younger kids went to bonfires in the neighborhood.

my son is turning 3 av/august. so he is 2 and 9 months. we asked a shaila and were told that lag b'omer is good.
I know he is kinda not thrilled- I xplned we are going to cut off/take away his kookoo and put a kippa instead just like abba. we have cake, cookies and taffy and one fancy lolly for while he is at the barber. and he said to me 'but mommy has a kookoo' and I said but you will be big like abba. he didn't seem thrilled. oh well.

Wow. So our boys are less than a month apart probably. I didnt realize it was that close.
