I'm not a regular baker but am looking for cookie cutters in lowercase for a baking activity. Can these be used to make cookies (using shortbread-type batter) or is this for cake decorating only?

They are small but why wouldn't they work with shortbread dough? They have a plunger to pop out each letter. If I needed small letters, I would try them.

So that probably means they would bake very quickly, right? How long do you think someone would leave these in the oven for?
