I'm looking for stiff scuba type fabric to make a costume out of. Anyone know where in Brooklyn or I guess manhattan I can buy for cheap? I would try online if anyone has any leads, but I tried amazon already, ordered a fabric labeled scuba and it came this thin stretchy fabric, not at all what I had in mind.
Any help would be majorly appreciated. I need to get this costume going! My kid has some dreams...

Fabric.com

Just read the fabric description to get what you need. The customer service is helpful also

There is an inexpensive fabric store on 18 and 60. I just bought black fabric (not scube) there for a costume and it was really cheap like 15 dollars for 4 yards.
Check them out

Thanks for this! Your link didn't actually work, but I drove over to 18 & 60, and found the store easily. And bought what I needed for very good price
