To all moms with twins - My good friend is due soon with twins and I want to get her something. What were the most useful presents, or things you bought that were lifesavers or you just appreciated?
She doesn't know gender, and since it's fraternal, it could even be one of each gender.
And I know it's going to be tough for her as her mother was supposed to help, except with this virus, she can't, and her toddler is home from childcare as well.
All ideas welcome.
TIA

Does she nurse/ plan to nurse? A twin nursing pillow is great.

Anything that helps occupy at least one child to leave her hands for others.
Depending on what she already has:
Baby carrier
bouncers/ swing
a new toy for the big one
a second pack n play or crib
a gift card to restaurants/ a lot of prepared food

What is your price range? A baby swing is a great gift. Even better if you can get 2.

My mom said the best baby present she ever got was a huge pack of diapers. I imagine with twins she will be going through a ton of diapers.

My aunt sent us about 20 boxes of Size 1 diapers when we had twins and it was the best gift ever. If she has some baby equipment from older kids, I would definitely do that.
If she's not nursing, formula is also a great gift. My aunt sent us a case of Similac and although I started out nursing the twins, we wound up supplementing with that and it was a gift that lasted for months.

The Twin Z Pillow was a lifesaver! I didn’t nurse but it propped my kids beautifully and made it easy to feed them together or just a cozy place to plop them.
Used it for a year or so and was so comfy (I don’t remember when we retired it, probably when they started walking or got too big) but it was worth every penny.

If she doesn't have two bouncers for propping them up for a bottle feed, it's a worthwhile investment. I bought one which could also be plugged into a socket (instead of batteries) and could swing, play music etc. Saved my life!!
Also you could buy her a set of high quality bottles. She'll be going through a lot and won't always have time to wash the first set before the next meal.
Homecooked food was the best present people could offer in the early days.
She's lucky to have a friend like you!

This is very not practical. What if you want to put one in the bedroom and one in the living room??
