My husband works night hours. So I light for the house aside from the weekend when he could. Didnt bother me when it was just me and him. But now with kids it makes me a little sad for them.
Any ideas of fun things I can do before/after lighting... just activities, how to make it extra happy etc?

teach them maoz zur in two, three or four part harmony.
invite some friends to join you.
let the kids choose a different candle color theme each night.
take pictures.
do some arts & crafts projects. I don't think I ever saw a 3-D origami dreidel but I've seen a flat origami dreidel shape.

call Poppa on the cell and let him listen in when you light and sing.

if you have lego or clics or similar, the kids can make menoras or dreidles from that
