My SIL has one from a lakewood agency. I think she pays $500 a week. ( she lives in flatbush) This is not a certified nurse -just a nanny for the twins.

I believe my sister's nurse (actual nurse, not a nanny) took just under $200 a day and a portion of that went to the agency. If you book her directly, it will cost you less (since both you and the nurse wouldn't then have to pay the agency a finder's fee).

I hope you can find someone this close to your due date!

It depends on your location (for example, nurses will charge more in NYC than say, in Brooklyn or Monsey. It depends on if you go with an agency, or negotiate with someone privately.

I had 3 agency nurses and they were awful (some are not really trained IMO). I thankfully found a great nurse and we worked out a good price (lower than what's mentioned here). PM me if you want her contact information.

I know that medicaid covers if there's even a slight issue... inquire. UJO might know.

Depending on the OP's location. In Monsey it's not covered. In brooklyn, AFAIK, it is.

How does it work if you have 1 nurse/nanny to do both shifts? When does she get to sleep with twins?

They sleep when the babies sleep.

I know someone who had a nanny for twins only no help with kids from an agency and paid $500/week. I think in a way it's silly, because for 500 ... You can get a regular live in, who will also than can be a nanny and keep your house clean. This way all you have to do is nurse the babies. This way you get more use so to speak out of the $500.
