Because somebody tolled me its very unhealthy to eat them. But my children love them.

My shul makes a great hot dog cholent!

But yes, we eat such things - chopped liver too.

If you think about it, many things are bad for you - white flour, white sugar, too much fat....

hot dogs, very rarely - my kids don't really like them, except in a bun with ketchup. They have them at bbqs, thats it.

We have veggie hot dogs though quite often, and the real type of sausage - the meat is a looser texture than hot dogs, and they come raw. (haven't seen that type in america - we get these from the uk)

My kids do eat salami, and hot dogs - not sauages - but processed meat anyway

In the uk they call hot dogs viennas, (at least the kosher ones are described as such on the label, although they also make a long version called american hot dogs) although people also call them sausages. Sausages are as I described.

With all these types of food, moderation is the key.
