Followed exact instructions.
Sides came out done and the middle was still runny. What did I do wrong?

Will this work in one bundt pan? The bumpy round kind? I dont have loaf pans. Also, can I add a coffee mocha glaze to it?

People keep asking the proportions to make it a 9x13 cake. Anyone successful? Did it rise like the loaf pans?

There's another recipe on here titled 'super moist honey cake'. I see the only difference in the ingredients is that this threads cake has added 1 tsp cocoa.
Otherwise all the ingredients are same (measurements a little different though)
Anyone tried making both?
Any preferences?

I made the other one last night- also chose it because it was one less ingredient to take out :)It came out great. Used a bundt pan. Can't compare taste, but the batter test was delicious! Looked very moist.

I made the original recipe in a 9x13. It came out perfect both times I made it.

So I tried one of the honey cakes on this website last year instead of using my mother's recipe, and although it was good I found it a bit too much. Maybe it was too sweet or something I don't really remember.
So this year I'm making my mother's recipe and it really is the best!
Give it a try and let me know how it is!
Honey Cake
2 eggs
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup strong coffee (1 c hot water w spoonful of coffee granules)
2 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With electric mixer, beat all ingredients together for 3 minutes. (I don't use the mixer. Batter will be runny.) Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake for 40 minutes. (may take a little longer or less) Test for doneness by sticking a toothpick into middle of cake. If it comes out dry it is done. ENJOY!!
I just made it today and already had like 5 slices!! Someone stop me! |

I tripled this recipe and I got 2 9×13s.
I love that it's so simple and easy to make.

This is the recipe I make every year because of this thread. Its the only honey cake I like. I triple the recipe. It makes 6 loaf cakes. I give it to my friends who are my family.

Thank you.
This is my new favorite honey cake.
It's amazing that such a moist, flavorful cake can also be so light!
