I'm looking for a nice activity for a group of preteens, cheap.
Oriental trading has a lot of cute-looking jewelry kits.
Does anyone have experience with them and can tell me if they're any good?
If you were the parent of a 9-10 year old girl and she came home having made and looking forward to wearing cheap junky earrings, how irritated would you be?

If I wanted to put together something like this using normal quality materials, about how much would it cost for about 15 kids?

The nice thing is that the product page shows exactly what's in it so it would be fairly easy to replicate, I just would rather keep the shopping as simple as buying everything from oriental trading... And these average about $1 per project, some less, which is consistent with what I'm looking for!

Can you do bracelets? The button one is adorable. 10 year old Dd would not wear a pair of craft earrings, she is sensitive to anything that is not gold/surgical steel. Bracelets or necklaces are just as fun and more likely to be used and enjoyed.

I can do bracelets/necklaces, I was just shopping clearance and these caught my eye as being cheap and cute, and ready-made. Bracelets and necklaces I could do but would have to figure out and shop around. I'm sure oriental trading has some, but at full price their quality is probably not worth it. Unless someone here has ordered from them before and can give me a clue?

OR a better question, what type of bracelet/necklace craft would be nice for girls ages 9-10? Something that feels "real" and not "babyish" but also not difficult to do and not expensive.
Should take about half hour to complete, not including set up and clean up.
