As we are sometimes built a little differently from the standard fitting model they design patterns on, this might come in handy.

Of course if you are just making a simple skirt you don't need this. But some might go beyond that.

I haven't used this course.

It costs $25.

I remark that print fabric is sometimes the give-away that a garment is homemade. Solid colors, in standard colors one sees everywhere, would do this a lot less, perhaps.
