do you find it elegant enough? does it look cheap? I am not so tall, so I hope the length will be good enough. do u think I should buy it? |
I think it looks elegant. I'm unclear as to the length, because it showed a below the knee and above. Personally. leaving tznius aside I favor the longer one. If you're asking about the shorter one, I don't know what you usually wear, what other people will be wearing, etc. so can't comment.
And how close are you to the baalei simcha? Looks nice enough for a simcha IMO but if you're related maybe there will be some expectations. Mazel tov!

Skater dresses usually fall somewhere between mid thigh and above knee, not knee length, and the waistline is designed so if you were too short it would fall wrong, so you would almost certainly need to have it extended or wear something underneath. I have a couple of casual ones I can only wear around the house/gym - they looked longer in the store but just not ok, and I am not tall.
It is bit glitzy and xmassy for my taste, but if it suits you, go for it....

I think it's nice. You'll likely need to wear a tube skirt underneath for dancing.

To me it looks thin, sheer, maybe a bit chintzy

I liked that it was red but here's your aqua one -but just so you know a british pound is $1.63 so the dress is not so inexpensive as you think

I like only the original dress OP asked about, I actually think the other two look a little too fancy-every-day for a wedding, like maybe a bris or a daytime, non-wedding simcha, or maybe even Shabbos, but not a wedding. But yeah, I really do like it, but you'll almost certainly need something underneath skirt-wise, because even if it falls below your knee, it won't stay there when you move around, and probably not even when you sit.

op here. thanks for your advice.
it's for a 1st cousins wedding. none of the cousins are wearing long.
I've had many times that when I bought something that was this short on the model, it was longer on me.
I can give it back for 2 weeks.

Hi Op, I like the first dress you posted but not the second, which looks like it has a shell under it (without full coverage). Have you tried asos? They have a sale on this weekend and they tell you how tall their models are.

OP, I like your taste, they are beautiful, but why black for a wedding?

The first one is BEAUTIFUL. Chi Chi London Premium Metallic Lace Midi Prom Dress with Bardot Neck - that would be MY choice! Love it.

Now that I know what a skater dress is, I like the length better.

op here. thanks for you replies. I don't really like the dress that was posted, it's too busy. the other 2 were a bit too plain... I know I am picky
but if you see anything else, I'd be happy if u post it!
