Yes, ahem, I have a bit of a muffin top.
What style of skirt can be flattering for me? I find anything with an elastic waist to be a no-no. Anything that has pleats is usually out, too. Also, skirts with a fly in the front (many denim/casual have that) are also out. What can work for me?

I think it's more that you need something a)more high waisted and b)not as tight.

I meant to put this in fashion and beauty-- can a mod move it for me? Thanks!

Modify your blouses instead of your skirts. Go for a blouson style and you can wear just about any skirt you like, except something very full and flared, like a square-dancing crinoline.

Or invest in long-line bras and wear any kind of top you want. .

I agree with zaq- focus on tops that cover your midsection without revealing any contours. The skirt shouldn't make a huge difference since the top of it won't be visible anyway

The midi length flairy skirts that are in now will work well for you, especially paired with a boxy crop top. You'll be super-stylish and be hiding the (ahem...) trouble areas.

I had this problem until I bought a skirt the next size up... Boom...no more muffin top.
