DS has a stomach bug, and MUST stay hydrated, he is refusing all drinks and keeps asking for milk, which is the one thing the doctor said to avoid! How do I make him drink???

You can't make him. When he is thirsty enough he'll drink other options. BTDT. Just be calm and patient and repeat what you told him (either the truth that it will hurt is stomach or that it is all gone whatever it is that you told him). Eventually he'll drink- well before he gets dehydrated. GL

I would say to give the milk mixed with water. Why no milk? I would think something is better than nothing.

Actually the CRAM (cereal, rice and milk) diet is a more recent recommendation for food & drink after a stomach bug. I wouldn't worry about him drinking milk.

Try tempting him with a slurpee. Works like a charm for my siblings.

Milk is terrible for an upset stomach.
