My friend just made one.
She brought in a Chinese woman she met on the street in Manhattan and she wrote each child's name on a silk paper like they do on the streets.
She also wrote the kids names on a piece of rice.
She had a woman who did jewelry with them(for them to take home)
It was beautiful!
If you need numbers(and you live in NY) Ill be more than happy to help you)

What about a nice sit down lunch for the girls? How about making some sort of project? Examples would be wood-burning, decorating a mirror, or some sort of fun activity. This would keep the cost down and be fun.

why is this posted here? Maybe to suggest a jazzercize class followed by yoga, healthy salad bar, massages, makeovers and manicures? Can I come?

What month is her Bas Mitzvah in? Maybe do something related...like making sushi for Adar, etc. If you base the party theme on the chodesh, she can talk about the relationship between Rosh Chodesh and women, etc.

my dd, the "Tehilim maidel" spoke about perek peh-gimel at her Bas Mitzvah. We bought plain cover pocket tehillim and set out tons of craft supplies so each girl could decorate/personalize one. (I also precut plastic protective sheets) the girls had fun- and I got several calls from impressed mothers
