Which brands would you recommend for boys? They all end up looking icky after some wear.
I also do prefer mostly cotton (even with the ironing involved), and stark white. Plus, I don't want to pay a fortune....

After all the companies I've gone through, my favorite is the Mo & Dave.

The white shirts from H&M wash beautifully and don't need to be ironed.

French toast you can get for under ten, but they are mostly polyester, and don't have patterns. They wash great and hold up beautifully.

For shabbat shirts I like Adonis, alvisio,, is a close second, but some patterns wash better then others. There is another brand I like, that foods so well I actually passed them to the next kid, but I can't remember the name off hand.

Adonis is a great shirt. They run in the upper $20's. Alviso is somewhat comparable and they run low to mid$20's. Mo and Dave non iron is a fantastic shirt that washes incredibly well. Those run in the mid $30's

I find that the fabric on the side of the buttonholes rolls over onto the bottons on the Mo & Daves- am I doing something wrong? I pull them out of the dryer and don't iron them.

I like Adonis best, but they are pricey, considering that DS's are likely to stain them pretty soon.

We use Concord shirts and bleach them every time we wash them- they stay nice and white and in good condition.

I like the company mo and Dave shirts. They fit beautifully and have a nice collar. They wash and iron beautifully. In Boro park they can be bought in wonderland, tiny town, or little loungers.

When Jos. A Banks go on sale, you can get them for 20-30 a shirt. They are amazing quality, don't need ironing but look starched coming out of the dryer as if they came straight from the cleaners.

Brooks Brothers has great non-iron ones. They're usually expensive, like $60 a shirt. Today, however, I did receive an email from them pointing out a 25% off sale, plus the shirts are 3 for $130 so they come out to about $30-something a shirt.
