my son came home from yeshiva for shabbos - I noticed that he shaved - and he claims his fame to lubavitch. as a mother wouldn't we notice these things. I really don't care if he does shave or if he doesn't. However he wears rabbainu tam tefillin - used to fight w/me over a tie and suddenly he shaves. (the joke is I think he only has 10 hairs - ok maybe 20 - but still) I happened to notice and instead of saying yeah or whatever - he got irate w/me and chutzpa. it makes me feel bad when he's like this - my only son (my bubbala)

If you honestly don't care, and he doesn't either, then what's the problem?

the problem is that he was rude and chutzpadik when I asked him if he shaved - I thought that we learn so much in yeshiva that we do not have to teach our children about kibud am 101.

he was probably embarrassed that u noticed he shaved or he himself was ashamed.
