I tend to serve - but specifically ask each person what I can and cannot give them so that nothing goes to waste. just cause I wouldn't want to be served things I don't like. also not too much room on table. I learned my lesson as a teenager not to eat just cause it is served - thought it was impolite till I got sick from eating something I couldn't stand. I just tell people that I'm picky and apologize if they notice that I'm not eating.
