I did make these and they came out awesome! My twins were SO excited to get to eat donuts! (they've never had a donut before (they're 6, bli ayin hara))
I subbed rice milk and toffuti sour cream and then subbed out the flour (brown rice flour, potato starch, sorghum, guar gum, etc ).

Ra_mom, thanks so much for this recipe! I made it in a donut hole maker and it came out YUM, dense and fluffy. (The recipe that came with the machine tasted like pancakes.) I made them dairy with real yogurt and milk. The icing was perfect too.
