I'd like a good mezonos recipe for either rolls bagels or breadsticks.
Anyone have a good one?

Ask your LOR before making/eating bread products that are called "mezonos." Usually, you should be making a hamotzi on them anyway.

Frumom- Why don't you take a reg. recipe for bagels or rolls and replace the water with juice?

Why usually, if not the case of a meal?

If you're eating them by themselves, then MAYBE you could make mezonos on them. If you put on any spread, eat them with savoury foods etc then basically the taste is like bread and they take hamotzi.
A mezonos food must fit at least one of the 3 categories: sweet, dry and crispy and/or baked with a filling. So called mezonos bread/rolls etc is a fallacy since if they tasted like cake you wouldn't use them as bread/rolls.

I feel the stirring of a halachic debate beginning. While I happen to hold the same way as its usually hamotzi anyways, we are in the recipe section, not so much the judaism section iykwim.

SHHHHHH......
All I said is to ask your LOR, no need for any debates otherwise Wink
So go ahead, post your recipes, but before you make a bracha, please ask!

I'll definitely ask about the mezonos/ hamotzei issue.
Has anyone really liked any of the recipes in the spice and spirit cb?
