Did we ever disucss this before?
That I am not particularly interested in heter iska, tzitzis, or tefillin?
And if we pay the rabbi to speak, and we can chose the subject, we aren’t interested in the above; we’d rather hear something more practical for us?
Or is that mean to say?

Yes then you can ask in advance or whoever that he speak about a perticuler topic

No if it's said in a nice tone most of the time almost anything goes just depends on the tone used and the situation that its said in.... imo anyways
