Turkish Salad
posted by Cookielady with Red Ruby's changes (and mine)
3-4 onions
1-2 green peppers
4-6 stalks of celery
30 oz crushed tomatoes
6 oz tomato paste
crushed head of garlic
juice of half a lemon
Spices to taste: salt, pepper, turmeric, paprika
You sautee your onions, add the green peppers & celery and cook until tender. Add your tomatoes. Cook for 2 - 4 hours and then add your spices and lemon. Serve cold.
