Almost all my DH's shirts have stains in the armpits. He wears deoderant, but still there's discoloration. Actually, it seems that it might not be the sweat always causing the stains, but rather the deoderant. For example, some of his blue shirts have white stains in the armpit. Can the deoderant actually cause stains? Is there anything I can do about it?

I know that for swat stains, you can put some white vinegar on them andf then wash as normal. if it's deodorant, any pretreat should help.
soak overnight if necessary.

The deoderant is what is causing the stain. Like in my husbands white undershirts it is all discolored yellow under the armpits. He says it is from a chemical in the deoderant not the sweat. You can get certain deoderants that don't have this chemical. I forget what it is called but I will ask my husband.

I don't agree weith the anonymous amother, but then again, using vinegar doesn't hurt anything.

Sounds weird, but I heard that shampoo can help!
