Do you mean you never shared it, or are you one of those people who shares recipes but leaves out ingredients so it doesn't come out as well....

Its a little selfish! why do you care if somebody else enjoys a good recipe the same way you are?

Please, everyone, let's stick to the recipes -- this has potential to be a great thread. The amount of recipes on this site is mind-boggling, and it's so helpful to have recommended recipes so we don't have to sift through it all. Especially for a newbie.
I think that the people having an argument/debate here should consider PMing one another if they want to keep it going. Also, no one is obligated to post a recipe, so as the saying goes (in an altered way), 'if you don't have anything good to post, don't post it'.

what would be the point of lying in a recipe
when I give out my recipes I even take care to create the most simple way to follow them - so anybody can cook them ...

Oh wow, I've found so many great recipes on here!
The roasted veggies are a huge hit in my house
cut peppers, eggplants, red onions (my fave!) and zucchini. drizzle with olive oil, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper and roast at 400 until they start to burn a little. O. M. Goodness. I always have to make 2 trays because I nosh on them while I cook and there's never any left by dinner.
Also, the beer meatballs are incredible!
1lb ground beef
1 egg
salt
pepper
14oz ketchup
14oz water
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 bottle of beer
Loosen ground beef with hands.
Mix in the egg and salt and pepper to taste.
Mix in a pot ketchup, water, dark brown sugar, and beer.
Stir well and bring to a boil.
Add the meatballs one by one so they don't crowd or mush.
Return to a boil and reduce flame to low.
Simmer for 45 minutes.
I know theres more, but these are our faves and have become staples in our house.
I can't remember who posted them, but I thank you. They're delicious!

sorry I was lazy to search for it, but here it is:
Quote: | 1 chicken, cut into 8 pieces
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
Mix together all sauce ingredients.
Pour over chicken.
Bake, uncovered, at 375 for 1 hour, or until slightly browned.
[I leave out the olive oil, and reduce the black pepper amount (sometimes the garlic powder amount too.)
I use 4 chicken bottoms, and sometimes separate the thighs from the drumstick, as suggested.
I also cover the chicken after 1 hour, and bake it for an additional 30 minutes on a highter temperature, as dh likes soft chicken.]
It's delishes! |

Let's not forget pinktichel's incredibly moist honey cake--even people who normally don't like honey cake LOVED it!
pinktichel wrote: | Incredibly Moist Honey Cake
2 eggs
3/4 c. honey
1 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. strong coffee
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into greased 9x13. Bake until toothpick comes out clean.
I made SO many of these last yr and not one failed. I froze them and they were so moist and delicious when defrosted. |
I used strong tea instead of the coffee in one recipe and it also came out really good, it was a milder taste though.
