as soon as you can, but certainly by age 9 or so. some girls have early or not so early signs of puberty by 10 or 11 and you cannot take a chance.

Interesting to see the opinions on this. Someone I know lets her daughter sleep in her sons room when they have guest. The boy is 20- the girl 18. They actually have been doing it for yrs whenever they had guest.

I took a 3 bedroom place right before I gave birth to our 2nd child. She went into her own room as soon as possible!

why naive and stupid. I did that with my brother. sleep in one room when we had guest we left the door open. my parents room right next to ours.
but yes we were very uncomfortable and I would never do that with my kids..
since I only have one daughter . and 3 sons and plenty rooms. she sleeps on her own. since she was born.and she cant sleep with anyone in her room.
